Previous: Chapter 1
This is going to be so much fun. I get to be a big brother! A gege! A hyung! It’s going to be so cool!
Hmm I wonder what his name is going to be. Not totally ruling out that appa and umma will have a girl but I doubt it. Most likely adopt a baby boy. So who is it going to be is the most important question.
Hmm this means I’ll have to go ahead of time or else my new baby brother might get taken away by someone else.
With that, Henry got out of bed and poked his head out of his bedroom door. Looking across the hall, he noticed his parents’ bedroom door closed.
Umma went to go have a “girls” outing for morning tea. I don’t get why it’s called “girls” when they’re all guys. And I should be confused on why my umma is a guy but I’m not. As long as umma and appa love each other, I’m okay with it. Doesn’t matter what the other kids think. They can make fun of me all they want! I have umma and appa to comfort me and cheer me up. They’re more than enough to make me happy.
Smiling Henry tip-toed to his parents’ bedroom and opened the door slightly. Peering inside he saw his appa still asleep.
Appa’s sleeping. So cute. All curled up like that hugging onto the big stuffed monkey umma and I won for him at the fun fair last summer.
Giggling, Henry closed the door and tip-toed to his appa’s home office. It wasn’t really a home office since Kibum doesn’t bring work home. They mostly used it as a library or study.
Going inside, Henry sat in front of the computer and turned it on. While waiting for it to load, Henry looked around the room.
The bookshelves were filled with books. All organized by alphabetical order. Appa.
Picture frames and little trinkets all scattered around the room and random objects like his baby shoes in the glass show case was definitely his umma’s doing.
That is so Umma. Messy and spread out. But the room looks perfect. It looks homey.
Logging in, using his umma’s account, Henry set to work.
Umma’s password is too easy to guess, bumbumbumhenli. Too cute. Well at least I know that I’m their child. Both so cute.
Opening the internet browser, Henry googled orphanages in Seoul. Yes he googled. How else was a 4 year old supposed to find an orphanage in such a big city? Yellowpages? Too old school. Plus it’s really heavy.
Clicking on the first link, Henry scrolled through the website.
Ok! We can! This is the one.
Grabbing a pen and piece of paper, Henry scribbled down the address and the directions to get there. Exiting the window and deleting the history just in case his umma or appa checked for whatever reason, Henry didn’t want them to find out.
Quickly logging out and stuffing the piece of paper into his pajama bottoms, Henry made his way to the washroom to clean himself up before going to wake up his appa.
I’ll let him sleep a little more. Appa loves his sleep. Although he did say he loves umma and me more than sleep. I can see why umma fell in love with appa. He’s so sweet.
Skipping to the bathroom, Henry went to the washroom, washed his hands, brushed his teeth and fixed his hair all by himself. Feeling accomplish and happy he was about to go wake up Kibum.
Wait! The piece of paper! I have to hide it!
Running to his room as quietly as possible, Henry closed the door behind him and leaned against the back of his door, panting. Looking around the room, he looked for a place to hide the piece of paper. Somewhere his parents would never look.
Under the bed too obvious. Desk? Too out in the open. Garbage bin? Umma will throw it out when he cleans my room. Hmm where can I hide it? I’m running out of options!
Glancing around his room frantically, it hit him on where he could hide the piece of paper without his parents suspecting anything.
That’s it! That’s perfect!
Running over to his desk Henry pulled out the top draw and placed the piece of paper at the bottom. Grabbing a piece of MDF, he cut it to size and places it on top of the paper, creating a false bottom. Then stuffing the draw with random things so that it was full before closing the draw. Smiling at his quick thinking, Henry walked out of his room and went to wake up his appa.
Operation Orphanage, mission complete.
A/N: Yay! Another part done. Not as long as I’d like but it’s a bit longer than the others. LOL
Yeah I have no idea how Henry was able to make the fake top cover in his desk. He's inherited Kibum's brains okay? Simple as that. >.>
